Town Hall Business Hours:
Come and Hear the Catfish HowlDateline: Sept. 10, 2019 October 6th at 4 p.m. is the date and time for this final concert of the year. A local five-piece band, Catfish Howl, is scheduled to perform for us starting at 4 p.m. on the Town Hall lawn. The band performs Zydeco music (Blues, Rock, Country, New Orleans Style and maybe even a Cajun tune). Click here for some samples of their music. Listen to "Tupelo Honey," "My Maryann," and "Shake, Rattle, and Roll."
There is a festive New Orleans feel to this New Hampshire band's music. The sound is a cross between what you would expect to hear on a countryside hayride and uptempo rural blues. Led by Accordianist Glen Robertson, and featuring 17-year-old Guitarist Christian Eagleston, The Catfish love to perform! There is no typical show with the Catfish. You never know what you might see and hear from Catfish Howl, but we will all have a good time! The Allenstown Fire Department will provide the refreshments: hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, coffee, and other snacks to enjoy while taking in the concert. A big thanks goes to Fire Chief Paul St. Germain for enlisting the AFD auxilliary groups. Parking is on the street, at town hall, or at the Dupont School next door. So pack up your lawn chairs or blankets and be part of this summer concert on the town green. The concert is free and open to the public. Brought to you by the Allenstown Economic Development Committee. What You Can DoCheck out the preceding music link and then mark your calendar for Sunday October 6. Invite your friends and neighbors and spread the word! Be sure to bring some lawn chairs or a blanket.
