March 11, 2014 was election day at St. John's Parish Hall on School St. This year, there were a lot of people running for office. Write-in candidates were allowed. If you were the only candidate for a position, a handful of votes got you elected.

Turnout was high this year, probably due to the controversy over the school budget. About 955 voters cast ballots out of about 2400 registered voters. It was better than last year but still: less than half the voters decided that property taxes were going to be higher for all the voters.
