The Allenstown Fire Department (AFD) provides protection for residents in case of fire, medical emergency, floods, or other natural disasters. AFD is also a member of the Capital Area Mutual Aid Fire Compact; as such, AFD provides mutual aid to surrounding towns as needed.
Eric Lambert has been Fire Chief since his appointment in Nov. 15, 2021, replacing Paul St. Germain.
Burning Permits
A Burning Permit can be obtained Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Fire Station. You can also obtain a seasonal fire permit at the station.
