February 1 at 9:00 a.m. (day before Groundhog Day)
Deliberative Session was at St. John's Parish Hall on School St. At this public hearing, voters discussed, questioned, argued, and pleaded about the town, sewer, and school budgets.
The Library budget was amended to add $4950 to it. A few minor amendments to wording were made on a few articles. After about two hours, the town warrant ($5.7 million) was finally done.
The school budget ($9.75 million) took only 5 minutes until a motion was made to cut the budget by about $1 million. This was approved 35-33 after a secret ballot was taken.
