The Allenstown Schools

 Allenstown School District web site

The Allenstown School District consists of one new school for Kindergarten to 8th Grade. The school celebrated its grand opening on May 3rd & 4th, 2024. The Allenstown Community School is located at 171 River Rd. across from Lavalley Farms.

Jaclyn Rohr is the new School Principal as of July 1, 2026. You can contact her at jrohr@sau53.org or call the office at 603-485-4474. Shannon Kruger retired at the end of June 2026 after 9 years of service. We wish her a happy and memorable retirement.

Allenstown Elementary School (AES): Students from Kindergarten through fifth grade were moved to the new Community School in May 2024.

After lengthy negotiations with the School Board and the signing of a Purchase & Sale Agreement, the Select Board voted on April 2, 2025 to purchase AES from the school district for $1.00. The school is now being renovated for use as the new Town Hall.

Armand R. Dupont School (ARD): Students from sixth through eighth grade were moved to the new Community School in May 2024. The school is now vacant.

The Diocese of Manchester, which originally sold the school to Allenstown decades ago, acted on their deeded right of first refusal and bought it back. They are currently looking for a buyer.

Pembroke Academy (PA): Allenstown high school students (grades 9 to 12) attend PA at 209 Academy Road, Pembroke. Allenstown pays a negotiated tuition to Pembroke for these high school students.

Allenstown School Board

The Allenstown School Board consists of several members who develop an annual budget for the town school and for Allenstown's portion of the Pembroke Academy budget. (School budgets runs from July 1 to June 30.) School Board members are elected for three-year terms.
