Congratulations to the candidates who won this year's election. Now we need to pull together for the task of bringing in new business and saving taxpayers some money on next year's budget.
March 10, 2015 was election day at St. John's Parish Hall on School St. This year, there were a lot of open positions. Could it be frustration with a town in which taxes keep going up, maybe faster than surrounding towns?
A few write-in candidates were elected but turnout was low this year, probably because there were no hot button issues as with 2014. About 345 voters cast ballots out of about 2400 registered voters.
