This estimate is based on the March 2 flyer from the School Board which stated that the difference between the proposed and default budgets would cause a $126 tax increase. The supposed 43¢ decrease in the school tax (see Voter's Guide p. 18) is probably because there was a greater increase in state aid than the increase in the school budget. It seems unjustified that school spending increases because state aid increases.
