Tag Team Budget Wrestling, Anyone?Dateline: Jan. 31, 2023 The next step in this election season is the Deliberative "Smackdown" Session where you, the voters, get to review budgets and warrant articles and try to politely amend them – if you can garner enough votes. (Of course, no rowdy or raucous behavior will be tolerated.) This session is to be held on Saturday, February 4th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Dupont School Gym on School St. According to the NH Dept. of Revenue Administration, RSA 40:13, Senate Bill 2, also known as SB2, (Official Ballot Referenda) is a form of town meeting that has two sessions. The first session, the deliberative session, is for explanation, discussion, debate, and amendments to the proposed operating budget and warrant articles. The second session, the voting session on March 14th, allows voters to cast an official ballot to pass or fail the proposed budgets and warrant articles.
