Committee Chairman Resigns

Michael O'Meara has notified town officials that he was unable to continue as chairman of the town's Economic Development Committee (EDC) and tendered his resignation as of Thursday August 24th.

This was unfortunate news since the EDC was recently rechartered by the selectmen on March 20th this year. This committee was created to promote economic prosperity in the town by attracting businesses that increase the tax base and also create jobs.

There was no word as to when the EDC will hold their next meeting and react to this news.
