The Allenstown Economic Development Committee (EDC) invites residents to participate in the

Third Annual Christmas Holiday Lighting Contest

Many of you may be feeling gloomy, uncertain, or out of sorts in these coronavirus times, but we all need something to hope for. For many, Christmas is just such a time and decorating your home with lights can make one feel hopeful. So if you are decorating the outside of your home, we hope you will register your home for this contest.

What You Can Do

Register your home by sending an e-mail ASAP to:

    economic-development@comcast.net

Be sure to include a good photo that shows off your decorations. No more than two photos per home will be accepted.

Your home will be listed on the town web site's contest web page so people can preview your decorations, visit your home, and be encouraged to vote for you.

EDC members will not cast any votes but you may vote for your own home.

The Contest Schedule

• Nov. 15 to Dec. 4 - [EXTENDED] Register your home decorations.
• Dec. 1 to Dec. 16 - Vote for your favorite decorations.

• Dec. 18 - Attend Awards Ceremony.

Awards Ceremony

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place trophies and gift cards will be awarded at:

Allenstown Community Center, Whitten St.
Saturday, December 18th at 4:00 p.m.
(snow or no snow).
