This Fall the Allenstown Economic Development Committee (EDC) is planning several fun events for residents. For all these events, details will be announced on the town web site.

The Second Allenstown Farmers' Market/Craftsman's Fair is set for September 28th from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This community initiative offers residents a wide selection of local goods from a large collection of vendors all in one place. A big THANK YOU goes out to The Family Dollar for allowing use of their parking lot.

The first fair on August 24th was well attended and one vendor actually sold out. The third fair is scheduled for Sunday October 26th at the same location and time.

Movie Night on October 4th. This event takes place at the Fire Station at the corner of Main St. and Ferry St. In collaboration with the Allenstown Firefighters Association, there will be an inexpensive dinner at 5 p.m. and the movie at 6 p.m. The featured film is "How to Train Your Dragon" (2025 version).

Halloween Lighting Contest. During October, residents can submit photos of their outdoor decorations in hopes of winning prizes which will be awarded on the Saturday before Halloween. Be prepared for some rather ghoulish decorations.

Christmas Lighting Contest. During November to early December, residents can submit photos of their outdoor decorations in hopes of winning prizes which will be awarded on the Saturday a few weeks before Christmas Day. Let's light up the town!
