The Purmore Disposal Team

After voters chose the default budget in March 2025, the selectmen had to eliminate many expenses in the town budget. This included weekly trash collection both at the curbside and at the Transfer Station. Purmore Disposal LLC was one of the private collection services the town recommended.

According to Mr. Purpura, "We negotiated a contract with the town to pick up trash at town municipal buildings, but here is the best part of the deal. As a courtesy, we do not charge for the Town Hall, Fire Department, Police Department, and Town Library."

With a commercial shop on Granite St. in Allenstown, they offer residents competitive prices on a variety of disposal services. Mr. Purpura said, "The business has been operating since July 2019. While we do service several surrounding towns, we have been based in Allenstown since 2024. "

Why Allenstown?

Mr. Purpura explained it this way. "We had been thinking about setting up shop in Allenstown, so when a commercial site became available at Allenstown Aggregate, it made sense to operate here. Allenstown is centrally located compared to the other towns that we serve."

Primary Goods and Services

Were you one of the Weekend Warriors who used to truck their trash, brush, yard waste, or household junk to the Transfer Station on Saturdays? Well the dumpsters are gone but you can still do some of that with a pilot program that the selectmen set up with Purmore Disposal. It started on Sept. 6th.

Haul your household trash to the Transfer Station on Granite St. on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 3.pm. For a fee of $9.00 you can fill up a 96 gallon barrel. For the non-mathematical, that's three times the size of a 32-gallon barrel. It's $3.00 for an additional barrel, payable by credit card.

Weekly Curbside Pickup: Purmore offers a wide variety of services including weekly curbside pickup of household trash such as one, four, or eight bags. For example, the fee for a single 25-lb. bag is $5.25. Wednesday is the curbside pickup day in Allenstown.

Bulky Items: They also offer pickup of bulky items like furniture, couches, bedding, and appliances, as well as junk removal.

Discounts: These are available for 55+ subscribers, military subscribers, annual payer subscribers, and for referrals.

Community Outreach

As business citizens of Allenstown, Purmore has sponsored clothing drives for senior centers, and donated used furniture to Goodwill Industries and Liberty House in Manchester. Mr. Purpura said, "We have also sponsored the Pumpkin Festival in Milford, the July 4th Parade in Raymond, and other organizations that have asked for donations."

Plans for the Near Future

"We plan for slow and steady growth of the business" he said.
