Come to The Catfish Howl Concert and Cruise Night

Dateline: July 16, 2022

On Sunday August 14 at 4 p.m., the Economic Development Committee hosts its third concert of the year. A local five-piece band, Catfish Howl, is scheduled to perform for us in the Gazebo at Blueberry Park in front of Town Hall starting at 4 p.m. The band performs Zydeco music (Blues, Rock, Country, New Orleans Style and maybe even a Cajun tune).

Click HERE for some samples of their music like "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Hey, Good Lookin'."

There is a festive New Orleans feel to this New Hampshire band's music. The sound is a cross between what you would expect to hear on a countryside hayride and up tempo rural blues.

Led by Accordionist Glen Robertson, an Allenstown resident, Catfish Howl loves to perform!

There is no typical show with the Catfish. You never know what you might see and hear from Catfish Howl, but we will all have a good time!

Drive Your Classic Car to Cruise Night

1956 Chevy

[Press the F5 key to race the car.]

August 14 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

At the AR Dupont School Field on School St.

All you need to do is to register and then drive on over the day of the event.

Fill out the Registration Form and send it back via e-mail to economic-development@comcast.net. You may also register on the day of the event.

There is no registration fee which should motivate you to come and show off your vehicle. A trophy is to be awarded for Best Car. Parking is limited so plan to arrive around 3:00 to get a good space near Town Hall.

Big Canopy for Attendees

An amenity for this year's concerts is a large Wedding Style Tent for those seeking shelter from the sun. (We are not planning any rain!) Thus you have no excuse for not joining everyone at the concert. Music, Dancing, Food, Fun, and Shade!

Refreshments

A professional Concord-based cook will provide a variety of entrees like jumbo Italian sausage subs with fried onions, cheeseburgers, jumbo hot dogs, and onion rings to feast on while enjoying the day's events.

Parking

Parking is on the Library Street, on School Street, and at town hall. The Dupont School field is reserved for Cruise Night cars. So pack up your lawn chairs or blankets and be part of this summer concert on the town green.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Brought to you by the Allenstown Economic Development Committee.
