As a free service for local businesses, the town web site includes an online Business Directory. This was designed as a tool for residents, and visitors. Its purpose is to help you quickly find local businesses and learn what products and services they offer.

growth barchart Since March 2018, many new businesses have moved in, two have had grand re-openings after major renovations, the old China Mill was purchased and converted to scores of upscale apartments, and a four-story assisted living facility was built. The Neighborhood

Allenstown lies in Merrimack County in southern New Hampshire midway between Manchester and Concord along the Route 3 corridor on the east side of the Merrimack River.

Town Government Structure

Local government consists of several governing bodies (AKA kingdoms) that perform separate functions and fund their operations through distinct taxation. The Town Government (Board of Selectmen), School District, and Sewer Commission administer their own functions, working in cooperation with each other but independent of each other.

Meetings to Attend

2023 Town Budgets & Meetings

 Board of Selectmen: Typically meets every two or three weeks as needed, Mondays, 6:00 p.m., Town Hall

 Budget Committee: Meets on selected dates, at 6:00 p.m., Allenstown Community Center.

 Planning Board: Typically meets on the first and third Weds. at 6:30 p.m., Allenstown Town Hall.

 Economic Development Committee: Typically meets on the second and fourth Weds. at 6:30 p.m., Allenstown Town Hall.

 Zoning Board: Meets as needed on Weds. at 6:30 p.m., Allenstown Town Hall.

 School Board: usually meets monthly at AES.
