As a free service for local businesses, the town web site includes an online Business Directory. This was designed as a tool for residents, and visitors. Its purpose is to help you quickly find local businesses and learn what products and services they offer.

Ongoing Economic Growth

Since March 2018, many new businesses have moved in, two have had grand re-openings after major renovations, the old China Mill was purchased and converted to scores of upscale apartments, and a four-story assisted living facility was built. Local government consists of several governing bodies (AKA kingdoms) that perform separate functions and fund their operations through distinct taxation. The Town Government (Board of Selectmen), School District, and Sewer Commission administer their own functions, working in cooperation with each other but independent of each other.
